Hey, there

Welcome! My name is Yuchen Shi

An unwavering curiosity about people has driven my journey in the UX field. I find joy in observing human behavior, analyzing the sources of their frustration, sadness, and stress, and devising solutions that bring happiness and ease to their lives.

My work spans a diverse range of areas, including UI/UX design, product design, and usability research and testing. I specialize in tackling complex problems with detail-oriented design and solutions informed by marketing insights.

I firmly believe that practical life experiences hold the key to many solutions, and I approach every challenge with an open mind, embracing a world of possibilities.

When I have free time,
I enjoy hand-sewing patches as a creative escape from the digital world.

I utilize fabric and various natural materials as a means to forge connections between individuals and their natural and social surroundings.

My work aims to evoke the deepest, primal human memories and serve as a conduit for the diverse voices of folk and immigrant cultures, all expressed through the medium of fabric by hand sewing.

Creating 3D design works

I used Cinema 4D to design "ideal spaces" for work and living. Through artistic elements, I crafted environments that emphasize comfort, enjoyment, and joy in living spaces. These 3D visualizations showcase how thoughtful design can enhance our daily experiences, blending functionality with a sense of well-being

The Catalog Design for the Artist show in Eli Klein Gallery

At Eli Klein Gallery, I collaborated with artist Lai Chiu-Chen to design the layout for his exhibition catalog. My responsibilities included laying out the artist's works and biography using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, creating a visually appealing and informative presentation of Lai Chiu-Chen's art and background, and working closely with the artist and gallery staff to ensure the design aligned with their vision.
